Hello!
Are you interested in me? I appreciate the attention!
I was born in Belgium in 1996. I went to primary school and 2 years of secondary school.
As a child I loved reading, making things outside and doing puzzles. I started using the computer quite early on, but only moderately. I got my first laptop when I was 14. I used it to draw and play video games.
To continue my schooling in Switzerland I had to learn English and German at the same time. Languages were my weak point for a long time, but since I've been working in IT I've been getting by in English. I tried a year at Saint-Galle but it wasn't as beneficial as I thought.
After taking a maturité gymansiale with options in Visual Arts and Psychology, I went on to study computer science at the EPFL. I said to myself ‘You didn't do maths forte, it's going to be hard, but you won't be able to do it in 10 years’. So yes, it didn't work out and I preferred to prioritise my health.
This failure cast considerable doubt on the choice of IT. In fact, I enrolled in biomedical in Geneva and health sciences at HESS-SO just afterwards... But after trying out an internship in the IT department of the town of Sion, I cancelled all my applications to start the HES in business IT.
I did my pre-HES year with the City of Sion, taking the SIR courses. I then obtained my bachelor's degree with great success and continued my career at the HES-SO Valais-Wallis, at the Energy and Environment Institute, digitisation section, in David Wannier's team.
I have also been working in the video production company Pentamedia since 2018. I have participated in numerous film shoots but my role is to maintain the IT infrastructure and assist with administration.
Now I am doing my Master at ECAL "Digital Experience Design".
